When we decided to do a total remodel of our 3 bathrooms I started looking for design software that would get me out of manual drafting for the cabinets. While looking at contenders for the job I ran into SketchList 3D and immediately ordered a trial version to play with. After a few hours of experimentation it was clear this was a one of a kind tool tailored and optimized for the woodworker.
I purchased it at once and have not regretted it a bit. Totally unlike a general use CAD program SketchList offers features like material layout optimization that probably offset most if not all of the purchase price of the software by minimizing waste. Once the design was complete I took the shop drawings and started cutout confident that my measurements were accurate and consistent. Following assembly and finishing we took the carcasses up to the bathroom for installation. Our more challenging cabinet had two units that had to fit into a boxed space where there was no room for error.

I am an experienced hobbiest and have been using SketchList 3D for the past few years. All this leads up to the question-has anyone else encountered such a fiasco?
