I really, really do. You're making it difficult though.

I couldn't blame you when my old, T-style power adapter broke after a couple yea I want to love you. I really, really do. You're making it difficult though. I couldn't blame you when my old, T-style power adapter broke after a couple years. I was even excited when I saw the sleek, new, redesigned L-style. However, that one broke too- but this time, it was after only about two months. I tried not to take it out on you, and figured that maybe I got the one bad one in the batch, or that maybe I had been too rough with it.

But here I am, typing away, pausing occasionally to wiggle the cord in order to get it to work again- for a few seconds at least. Yes, thats right, my SECOND L-style magsafe has broken, also after only a couple months.

Finally, I'm realizing that it's not me, it's YOU. And you just don't seem to realize that. I called Apple support only to be told that there are 'no known issues' with the L-style magsafe adapter. Dearest apple, do you ever read the reviews your products receive? Obviously there is a known issue, and its that this product simply doesn't work if you use it for more than a month! I've enjoyed your sleek design and better usability, but honestly, I think I'm leaving you. More (Read full review).

As for the MagSafe itself, it feels differently built (for the better), it doesn't nearly get as hot as the old MagSafe did (incredibly this one stays very cool, even on extended periods of time, although that could be because it's new.) Lastly, the actual connector is pretty innovative, feels much sturdier and less prone to fire/breaking/separation issues.

It also wraps around a better/more effective contour. All in all, for $79 compared to $99, and the benefits i've named, it's a much better buy than the previous MagSafe (still overpriced, apple) More (Read full review). Written by Nico A from markham. Horrible quality Mac computers are good and you already pay a big amount for them. However, paying an additional $79 for faulty chargers seems like a total scam.

I have bought f Mac computers are good and you already pay a big amount for them. However, paying an additional $79 for faulty chargers seems like a total scam. I have bought four chargers in 5 and a half years, and I have never heard of people going through expensive charger issues such as Apple users. It's outrageous.Apple has managed to close contracts with the government, produce sophisticated encryptions, among other achievements, and yet they have not been able to create quality chargers.

Also, faulty chargers are such a double standard for a company that claims to support sustainability. More (Read full review). Written by Rodolfo L from Irvine. Nov 21, 2018.

Or it is the real Apple business? Have this faulty device to sell it again and again. This is very disappointing. Looks like a modern mafia trick. C'mon boys try a new design, something like iPad one should be a better solution. More (Read full review).

Also, the power adapter on mine works just fine. Instead of unplugging every time I hit the road, I thought it would be a good idea to buy a spare for my computer bag.

Is this someone's idea of a joke? Eighty bucks for a power adapter? Sure the cell phone manufacturers have run this scam for years, refusing to standardize on a plug configurations/power ratings so that the buyer is forced to buy yet another power adapter (I've got about twenty of them sitting in a drawer). But those pieces of junk are only $20 or $30.

I've got AppleCare, so I'll just keep on plugging in and unplugging the one adapter I have until it dies, then you can replace it for free.
