How To Write Around A Circle In Coreldraw For Mac
I can align text to the top of a circle. I am wondering how to align it to the bottom of a circle so that it isn't upside down. What I am trying to achieve is two circles, (a smaller one inside a larger one). The text is written inbetween the two circles. A title that is aligned just above the inner circle. I want to put a red ring (hollow circle) over something in Permiere. I understand how to make transparant areas with solid objects such as circles. Would like to draw a circle around an individual for like 10 seconds. IMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11) Posted on Dec 12, 2007 10:07 PM. Reply I have this question too (7) I have this. I want to make a logo with text wrapped around the top and bottom of a circle, similar to the Starbucks logo. Is there any way to do this in Pages?

CorelDRAW X5:: How To Rotate Text In Round Shape Mar 5, 2013 How to rotate text in round shap? Similar Messages:. ADVERTISEMENT Feb 21, 2013 convert my text in round shape Mar 6, 2011 when i draw a circle in corel draw, i set the height and width dimension to equal, so it should become a circle, but it end up in the monitor screen an oval shape, also i notice the y axis and x axis in the corel draw is not equal. So i check my artcut y and x axis, is also same as corel draw. But when i cut out the shape, it cut out a circle shape.
Isit due to monitor or other setting. Jan 27, 2012 Is it possible to add text and lines into round parts?
Those are for the manufacturer so they can see where exactly all the stuff will be painted on. Dec 4, 2008 I am trying to figure out how I can rotate many different circles (could really be any shape) aound a single point? For example, say I have 10 identically sized circles and want to rotate each one tangent to a single point every 36 degrees.
Hopefully I am making sense and explaining the situation correctly. Is there a quick method using CorelDraw's tools/features to accomplish this task? Jan 14, 2012 I'm creating a logo that consists of the word DIFFERENT in text and a shape, a dot (an ellipse) that I want to appear above the I and be vertically aligned with I.
How can I do this? The problem is that I can't see how to identify the point in the text - the centre of the I - to act as the target. I can't seem to get any of the Snap to Object tools to work. I feel that I should be able to mark a specific point anywhere on a shape or an object and use those points to align. I suspect that I could achieve the effect that I want by splitting the text characters up into individual objects, than I can align them more obviously but then I set up some other issues with kerning. Nov 11, 2011 I'm working with CorelDraw X3 and want to fill text into a round shape, while keeping it's exact outline.
Hence, cutting of parts of words and letters is fine with me as long as the shape is well-defined. Unfortunately when filling paragraph text into a shape, the automatic line breaks lead to a quite irregular shape regardless of font size. As workaround I arranged a mask in front of background and text but this requires a square paragraph text which is larger than the background. Since paragraph text obviously cannot be cropped with other objects I made the mask size bigger and filled it white.
When exporting my document as image everything looks neat, but there must be a better way to do this in CorelDraw itself? I tried converting the paragraph text into artistic text and cropping this, which works fine for a few words and a small object. But I'm talking around 1000 words here, and trying to crop this artistic text leads to very random cropping results. I guess such a large number of objects and knots is too much for CorelDraw to handle!?
Aug 24, 2012 Here's a macro I've used for quite some time. Feel free to use or modify as needed.
Install, select text and run. Hold shift and the selected text will round/curve more. Why I created? I do a lot of graphics that need the top line of text to be curved. I can easily select the top line and press a button and the macro curves it upwards.
If I need more curve I hold shift and run. If I need more or less curve still, I make the item in question, the text, larger or smaller. All done by eye and it's fast.

Apr 10, 2011 I have gotten to a point where I have the round text, I have a seal with a blank space.
I would like to put the round text into the blank space, but when I try, and no matter how I try, the text is a white square with round text on it when I try to place it in the circle. The other thought that came to me, what if.(the text circle size was a guess) the text does not fit. How do I expand or collape it?
I know I have in the pass while playing with round text. Gone back to that effect and changed angles, start points etc. Is that the only way? I have attached what I have so far. ( I tried to attach the Paint.net file but I guess you can't, so these are the two I am working on, as layers in Paint.net) Apr 28, 2011 how to curve text within a shape, as paragraph text, not artistic text? (See my attached image.) I have drawn the shape, inserted the text as paragraph text, but the text always wants to sit straight.
I am so frustrated as I can find a workaround in either Corel or Adobe CS products. I have tried using artistic text in Corel, but have to do it line by line - and this brings other problems, such as I cant justify each line with each other, and sometimes a character jumps up relative to the other characters and the entire paragraph does not taper in.so this is not a solution, apart from the fact it will take me FOREVER to insert line by line.I would like to treat the text as a multiple line paragraph, and follow the shape.
Sep 28, 2013 Although the part, marked in blue in the picture, has, to my opinion, degrees of freedom, i cannot rotate it round the main assembly axis, the Z axis. Maybe it's connected to the 2 holes underneeth it, which i projected? Or maybe because of the axis i made through the M24 thread? Nov 18, 2013 With a number of of paragraph text objects selected, the interactive rotate becomes increasingly sluggish in keeping up with my mouse position when dragging round. I've got a calendar artwork with 12 paragraph objects, and after I've let go of the mouse button, the screen will continue trying to update for anything up to 10 seconds afterwards, during which time I can't do anything.
Feb 9, 2012 fit a box of text to the shape of numbers. I work at a screen printing company and working on some school leavers hoodies. They would like the names to make up the year. I cant seem to figure it out on corel. Feb 4, 2013 I haven't used illustrator for a while so I'm really stuck on soemthing that should be simple. I want to create a shape that has round corners on the bottom and square cormers at the top.
I have created two shapes, one with round corners and one with square one. I was hoping to put them together then use the pathfinder to unite them but this then make the round corner square.
Is it possible to unite shapes with different corners. Feb 18, 2014 So I am starting with a 12 sided star vector and using effectstylizeround corners I am trying to round of the outer corners so they appear as a somewhat cartoonish cloud. But in doing this, it rounds of the inner corneds too, replicating a sort of bottle cap shape. How do I make it round off only the outer corners? Oct 16, 2013 When I make a loft, from a 12x12 square to an 8' circle (12' high for the sake of arguement), the corners of the square kind of loft up to the circle where it's corners would be.leaving a sharp break between the planes Is there a way to make it look like the sheet metal lofted flange appears? So that the corners of the square drift to the quadrants of the circle, making a smooth transition?

I'm having a problem making some shape tools work on text (they work fine on other objects). If, for example, I write a piece of text and then select it, followed by the smear shape tool, most of the time the text is deselected and the tool does nothing. However, the Shape, Smudge and Roughen brushes work OK.
I've tried using different fonts and text attribute to no avail. I've tried L&R clicking, holding the button down and double (and multiple) clicking slowly and quickly. It's not a mouse or pad problem, it's the same on both. BUT.guess what, every now and then it decides to work! Sometimes it will work on a piece of text and later won't work on it again. Jun 15, 2011 After I put an envelope on some text and then adjust the envelope (i.e.
Curve it upwards), I was wondering if you can still adjust letters' kerning with shape tool. Feb 2, 2012 I know I can wrap text around an object with the properties docker, but I don't know how to wrap it inside a closed shape (not a box). How can I put text inside a circle, for example? In other words, How to put text inside a curved container? Jul 30, 2011 I've got a bunch of filled ellipses scattered around a drawing, and I want to place numbers & symbols inside these shapes. But whenever I choose the text tool and click inside the shape Corel is 'automatically assuming' that I want to format as paragraph text, and then it's all over. The only way I can 'escape' the paragraph formatting is to delete the shape & start over.
Is there any way I can temporarily-disable paragraph text, or force the characters to be artistic text? Oct 3, 2011 How can I rotate a pattern within a shape?

Dec 17, 2012 Completely unlike the way Illustrator worked in previous versions, when I rotate a shape (say a square) that has a gradient in it, the gradient does not rotate with the object. For example if it is a black to white gradient and initially the black is at the bottom of the square, if I rotate the square instead of the gradient moving to the top, it stays at bottom. Same thing if its rotated to other rotations, 45 degrees moves the black to a corner etc. I can't find this anywhere, is it a preference? I've had 2 installs of Illustrator now on 2 clean Windows 7 installs and its still the same.
A very frustrating workflow being that I am an animator, I don't want to have to manually change a gradient everytime I do another frame. Jul 26, 2012 I'm using the variables panel in Illustrator to pull a data set I've got. For example there's 2 text variables and 1 number going from 0-359. I'm looking for a script which looks at the variable name and pulls the number, then uses that number to rotate a shape by that many degrees. Jul 30, 2013 I just installed CD on my daughter's computer and her shape tool only allows for a free form selection by following the cursor in a free form way. My install allows for a rectangular click-and-drag type of selection. I see no options for this tool Is her install bad?
Nov 26, 2013 I want to engrave the text 'TEST' all the way around this clonal object. When I use the emboss tool, selecting the option 'wrap to face,' it gives me an error message that the 'face selected is not tangent to the profile plane.' I am using a work plane that is offset from the XY plane. I included a screen shot and the file that I am using (Inv. 2014) Oct 18, 2011 I am trying to make a round monogram such as this: Round Monogram.htm I have seen an old post about using the line tool and making it by hand but i am having a hard time doing that.
The monogram will be cut out in vinyl (car decals) so i need to be able to make all the letters. I have tried the envelope tool but that just wraps the letters around the circle like a sphere shape. Is there an easier way to do this? It would be nice to be able to do triangles also but I need to conquer this one first:) Jul 15, 2004 All i want is the text to go around the underside of the circle, the right way up, but it won't do it!
Using the pen tool to create the curved line is equally annoying, as it seems to cut of the text mid-way through the line, Oct 26, 2012 If you draw a rectangle & put the corner radius to 0.005 and see in zoom edges is not round and have some defective edge. Dec 19, 2013 I have used annotative text and selected yes for match orientation to layout for the text. In the viewport it is rotating automatically with the view, however the boxes around the text do not rotate as well.
Is there anyway to automate this? The Client requires a key plan which has all the pipe data on it. The key plan is oriented in one direction. Then for the plan & profile drawings, the plan is oriented in another direction. I don't want to have two create two sets of text (one for the key plan and one for the plan/profile drawing). How can I use one set of text and make it work in the key plan and for all the plan/profile drawings? Image is attached.
Aug 29, 2011 I know this is located in other locations but I can't seem to make it work with my block. I would like the cross and the text N to rotate independantly of the arrow while the N stays with the thick line.
That's the easy part. How can I make the N move along the rotation path and keep the text aligned horizontally? I read something about linked action and move, but I can't make it work. Jun 4, 2011 Text is allowed only on the outside of a rectangle shape. The text cursor disappears when I try to enter it into the rectangle and when I place it on the edge of the rectangle, it rurns into a slanted 'A' and allows texting on the border of the rectangle. Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 (build date Sept 7, 2010).

Did you ever have one of those boring and time consuming tasks of creating a leaf or any other object with repeated shapes around a circle? One of our readers asked us if we know a simpler way than re-creating the object again and again. And we certainly do know an easier way to complete this task. So today we will teach you how to duplicate a shape around a circle in Adobe Illustrator with just a few clicks (you can count them if you don’t believe us). Let us start our tutorial: 1. Create the shape to be duplicated We will start the process by creating the shape that we want to duplicate. Once this is done, we then create the circle shape that represents the path around which the shape will be duplicated.
Apply Rotate Tool Select the object you want to duplicate, then click on the Rotate Tool from the tool panel, or click R on your keyboard, if you prefer working with shortcuts. Next, press down the Alt key (Option if you work on a Mac) and click on the center of the circle. You will see the Rotate sub-menu panel on the screen. Work in the Rotate sub-menu In the Angle text box select the desired angle of rotation and the number of times you want the object to be duplicated, separating these numbers by /. For instance, if you need the object to be repeated 8 times and go completely around the circle you will type 360/8. In the Options box bellow, select Objects.

Finally, make sure that you click on Copy button, not OK. Clicking OK will duplicate the object only one time, as you can see below.
The final result After you click on Copy – the job is not done yet. To repeat the final step you just made you need to press the shortcut known for duplicating in illustrator which is Command + D (Mac) or Ctrl + D (Windows). The job is done now and it only took a few clicks, as we promised. For more useful tips and tricks in Adobe Illustrator, keep sending us requests and we will deal with them one tutorial at a time.
